Memory Foam Cushion
The invention of the memory foam cushion revolutionized the seat pad industry. Many don't know that memory foam, sometimes called visco-elastic, was developed way back in 1966 by a NASA contractor with the goal of improving the safety and comfort of airplane cushions. One of the inventor's, Charles Yost, referred to this open cell solid polyurethane material as temper foam, referring to ability to slowly spring back.
Denser than other foams, the memory foam cushion is more supportive and contouring to your seat than it's counterparts. Used widely in the medical industry to prevent pressure sores, memory foam seat cushions are know for their ability to "spring back" or have a faster recovery. Memory foam is ideal for many purposes including beds and pillows in addition to seat cushions.
