Robert H. Graebe, the founder of ROHO, initially created the ROHO Cushion after seeing the ravaging effects pressure sores have on wheelchair patients. At the time, patients were using foam cushions and gel cushions with limited success. By using air rather than foam or gel, Mr. Graebe was able to create a cushion that addressed the key causes of pressure sores including surface tension, hot spots and shear. The result is the now internationally famous and award winning ROHO Cushion.
